A Celebration Of Local Artists!
Im sooo so excited about the upcoming Anniversary bash we are hosting "Cino De Mayo Style" on May 5th from 5-9pm During the towns First Friday Gallery Hop we celebrate 8 years here at this location 126 Muskingum Ave in Zanesville Ohio!!! An exciting Live Painting Demo from Raymond Ramos will be in session during the event!
We welcome artists from all over to join in on the festivities and feature their own art or craft as well! This is a great example of how we are all better together! When artists makers and creators can join forces it benefits everyone! That old saying, Rising Tide Lifts all Ships is so very true! Not only are we bringing new audiences into our own space but we in turn are sharing our regular customers and buyers to the visiting artists as well! It's always an inspiring event to get to hang out with other artists with other mediums or maybe from other towns as well, its this creative synergy that just dances along throughout the evening. Its so fun and almost magical seeing what inspiration everyone walks away with and goes back to their own creative studios and spaces to create!
If you yourself are not one that creates, you still feel and absorb that same creative synergy, you'll go back to your home with beautiful handmade items that bring light and joy to your personal space!
You can expect to see creators with handmade candles and soaps that have a beautiful uniques spin on design from Mary Ramos of Velvet Walls, then Julie Shafer from Tarnished and Twisted takes vintage pieces of silverware and creates the most unusual jewelry!!! I love upcycled repurposed things! New comer to the studio this year is Frank Krak The Wood Butcher will showcase hand carved and finished wooden walking sticks that are not only perfect for the hikers but they just look lovely in your home as decor when not in use! All the way from Michigan come Ann Korinek of Paint n Porcelain who does the most beautifully detailed custom porcelain painting I've seen, you do not want to miss her! This will be her first time being featured here in the studio as well! One of my favorite candle makers is April Collins of Thacker Hollow Designs who makes her beautiful handmade soy candles & Soaps will be showcasing some new items as well such as her beard oils and laundry detergents made with all safe ingredients! Lori Ward is BACK again, Lori from Designs by Lori is a silversmith and leathersmith, everything she makes is from silver to finish or from leather hyde to finished product, I know she is in process of producing some brand new bags for this event, her items always go fast so don't delay on seeing her set up! Welcome for the first time in the show is Bobbi Sparks and Judy Hogan from Columbus who will bring handpainted furniture, art and home decor that will brighten up your home! Cherie Chic Designs, Cherie Bronkar, joins us again with her amazing upcycled items made from wood such as jewelry and sculptures, I have one of her stunning necklaces and LOVE it! So proud to have professional artist Marci Shumway, November Girl Art back again this year, Marci specializes in portaits using pencils and watercolor, she has such amazing talent and you will not want to miss her newest pieces!! Last for far from least is the amazing Double Shot Espresso Company who features their iced coffee drinks as well as their tasty decaf for those that do not want to be up too late!
We have so much going on in our entire building that night, upstairs the Bunko Jess Studio will be featuring the amazingly talented ladies of The Art Loft, Susan Nash, Susan Stubbing, Linda Graham and Sandy Booth, Let me just tell you, they are such a treat to have in our building that night each one has such different mediums but each so talented!
